The six episodes of Napster are broadcasted live on Channel 4 and the broadcasts last about 11 minutes each, according to Netimperative. Both established and emerging artists will be shown in the programs. Besides two live performances there will also be interviews and biographies with and from artists. There will also be prize draws to the programs on Channel 4.
Napster is not going to make the programs alone. The production company Blaze TV has called in for this. That also makes the Saturday morning show CD: UK in the United Kingdom. The Napster TV show will be on Channel 4 for the first time on Saturday April 16th. In it, the popular American band Garbage will provide a performance.
Napster chose Channel 4 because of the progressive nature of the channel. The music that can be heard on Channel 4 in the program will also be available for download via Napster at a later stage.
