Ede / Den Bosch, November 25, 2014 - Blink Publishers and Blink Education have, after an extensive selection, chosen Swigle for the construction of their new websites. With Bobo, Okki, Taptoe and National Geographic Junior Blink Uitgevers is the largest Dutch publisher of educational children's brands. Blink Education develops successful innovative digital teaching methods for primary and secondary education. For the construction, Swigle will use the open source CMS package Drupal. With this content management system Blink can focus on online marketing and content management within its online strategy.

Swigle supports the entire process of content development, management and publication for maintaining the websites Blinkeducatie.nl, Blinkuitgevers.nl, Blinkpartnerships.nl and for the new teaching method plot26.nl. For Blink, this means a switch to a central, future-proof web content management platform for all online initiatives. Important here is the findability (SEO), flexibility, design of authorization levels (roles & rights), performance, search functionality, multilingualism and social media integration. Blink will take care of the design itself.

Within the dynamic publishing world, the expectations of the consumer are determined by well-functioning, user-friendly, professional-looking websites. The new websites are built responsive, making them suitable for tablet and mobile phone. The previous sites were not responsive and Blink wanted to improve the quality and service to visitors to the websites. The new sites must be able to provide clear information to all types of visitors; to both subscribers and non-subscribers and to both children and their parents and teachers.

Blink is a young publisher with a passion for children and education. Blink develops sparkling, educational concepts for home and school. Blink's mission is to challenge children to learn and develop themselves and their talents. Blink makes all expenses in close collaboration with teachers, parents and children, so that they always fit exactly with every age group. This mission is also central to the construction of the new websites.

"Children are central to everything we do. All our expenses are developed in collaboration with children, young people and the people who surround them: parents, educators and teachers. By always starting from the child, from his interests, world and level of development, we can develop magazines and teaching methods that naturally connect with his experiences and that are embraced by children and young people. We believe this is the best way to achieve learning and development results ", says Eelco Heuvelmans, project manager digital at Blink. "We have chosen Swigle for their track record and because we think they can translate our mission into a practical and solid technical solution".

The start of the construction will take place this year and the first website will go live in the first quarter of 2015.
