More Dutch people want quad play

Quad play, the combination of mobile, fixed internet, TV and calling, is becoming more important. Quad play, the combination of mobile, fixed internet, TV and calling, is becoming more important. Almost three-quarters of Dutch people find it interesting to switch to a quad-play offer, if that is more advantageous than what they now buy from fixed and mobile services. This is shown by research by Telecompaper under its Consumer Panel.

At the end of 2011, Telecompaper submitted a number of statements about the attractiveness of quad play to the Telecompaper Consumer Panel. This research was repeated in March 2013 and November 2013. KPN (KPN Complete), Scarlet and Tele2 offer quad play. There are no explicit quad play providers yet. However, Ziggo offers existing customers lower mobile rates if they purchase a complete package (TV, internet, fixed telephony).

Many respondents also see disadvantages in the possibility of taking quad play. For example, 63 percent would prefer to choose from all mobile providers when choosing a mobile provider. That is a slightly lower percentage than with the previous two measurements. Forty percent say they have no influence on the choice of a mobile provider of their roommates and therefore find quad play not interesting.
