Offshore outsourcing offers opportunities
Now that the economy is starting to pick up again, outsourcing abroad for more and more small, creative ICT companies is a godsend to be able to meet the growing needs of clients, despite continuing cost pressures. Because of the affordable and flexible opportunities that offshore outsourcing offers, these innovative companies can maintain their progressive position. Moreover, they have access to ICT specialists abroad who are often scarce and difficult to recruit by small organizations.
As a new player in offshoring, Bangladesh positions itself as an attractive alternative to traditional outsourcing destinations in Asia and Eastern Europe. Wage costs are lower in Bangladesh, the country is in a phase of strong economic growth and, due to its young, highly educated population, has enormous potential for work. Many Dutch companies have already proved successful in doing business in Bangladesh, so that smaller ICT players now see opportunities and explore their opportunities in the country.
Matchmaking event for the creative IT sector
The Bangladesh Next matchmaking event is a low-threshold way for small organizations within the creative IT sector to get acquainted with possible outsourcing partners in Bangladesh in 30-minute rounds, without directly making a trip to the country. A delegation of 14 specially selected and trained offshore IT suppliers from Bangladesh will be present who can help participating companies in their growth and innovation.
The event will take place on Wednesday 3 December from 9:30 to 17:00 at Café-Restaurant Dauphine in Amsterdam. Participation is free. Companies that are interested can register via the Bangladesh website Next: http://www.bangladeshnext.nl
Participants can also register for a seminar on ' Internationalization and Offshore Sourcing' prior to the event on 2 December. Companies that decide to explore the possibilities further to the meetings in Amsterdam are invited for sponsored participation in a Special Software trade mission to Bangladesh in February 2015 where they visit various local companies, the Basic Soft Expo 2015 and the Digital World Bangladesh Congress 2015.
