Appje voor de Borst (http://www.appjevoordeborst.com), the breastfeeding app of one midwife for all mothers, has just exceeded the mark of 10, 000 downloads. This milestone was achieved by midwife Hannah Van Hout - in collaboration with IT company Lemon Companies, Harry Demey and with support from Kind en Gezin - nine months after the app came on the market.

Mums often have questions and need support so that they can take care of their child even better. That is why midwife Hannah Van Hout thought that a mobile application would be useful for this, as well as to improve communication with moms.

The app, which was launched during the Belgian Week of Breastfeeding, is particularly warmly welcomed in the press. Thanks to this press attention, no less than 2000 moms downloaded the app in the first week after the launch. Every month, new mums were added.

The idea of a breastfeeding app as a supplement to the supervision by the midwife, therefore clearly stands out. Every day we work hard on the continuous improvement of the app to support mothers even better.

Initiator and midwife Hannah Van Hout is very satisfied: "The success of the app exceeds my expectations. It motivates me to help even more mothers discover the many benefits of breastfeeding. "
